Posted June 20, 200520 yr I remember reading that you can wire each voice coil of a sub to seperate channels of a two channel amp. Is there any advantage to this? Does an amp have an easier time running two channels at 2 Ohms than a bridged channel at 4Ohms? Would there be any sort of heat savings? Anything?
June 20, 200520 yr Only time i would do that is if i had an amp that couldnt take the bridged impedance. If you do that get a Y RCA adapter so you have the same signal going to both channels.
