June 25, 200520 yr Don't be shy with the resin. I don't use paintbrushes of any sort AT ALL. I just mix up a batch, dip the mat piece I cut straight in the resin and brush off the excess resin on the side of the containers...then lay it on. I usually do double layers...sandwiched together with resin on both side and middle. It helps build up quicker...and it's REALLY strong. TOOOOO much resin is bad, but make sure the mat is soaked...like totally brownish/blue-ish on color...no white spots NG
June 25, 200520 yr I tried the dipping method, and it was simply too messy for me . There are many ways to glass though, no one technique is better than the other, just experiement on some small pieces first, find your groove, and continue with what it comfortable to you. Like I suggested to another member here, check out glassmanscustomforum.com, lots of good advice there.

June 25, 200520 yr ::shrugs::dipping is too messy, uses too much resin IMO. i can get it soaked with a paint brush, the key is fresh/new resin...old resin doesnt soak as well... it is also usually a darker brown where as new resin is a light light brown... see pic below...try and figure which one used old resing and which new.
July 5, 200520 yr Author Undercoverpunk, I saw that you purchased some of this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...ssPageName=WDVWstuff but you mentioned that you could not use it? Why?NJCC this egay biaxial egay stuff seems to be the cheapest stuff for my project. Is there one from this guys egay store that you would recommend or are you of the opinion that I should stay away from the egay stuff even if it is biaxial?http://stores.ebay.com/Discount-Fiberglass...genameZL2QQtZkm
