I wanted a 15" D2 so bad back in the day when SI got robbed Now I just realize they now produce them, which makes me very sad.

Why?

I recently ordered a 15" XXX and it should be here very SOON.

Now the question is, do I use it for a while then sell it and get a D2, or sell it brand new un-opened? Either way I lose money

Tough call. That's a hell of a driver you ordered there.

having not heard a XXX before that is a tough call. I do hear alot of good about them and how they and the D2 are very comparable in their characteristics. Good luck deciding.

what kind of issues?

its stated in numerous threads. But the Proto 15 has a bad Chrome job and some of it leaked down the pole piece and is causing the voice coil not to be perfectly aligned and at high excursion it makes a funky sound.
