I'm using a stealth enclosure that holds a single 10". Mounting depth is 8" and has .75 cu.ft air space and is sealed.I listen to all sorts of music, rock, rap,r&b,metal, etc. I have looked at the following subs...Alpine Type-R 1042D(sounded good),IDQ v.3 (haven't heard) and Re Audio SE-10 (haven't heard). That 's mostly where the problem lies,I don't have any dealers locally that I can actually listen to these subs. I already have a MB Quart Discus 500.1( 250W x 1 @ 4ohms, 500W x 1 @ 2 ohms) that I picked up a few weeks ago for cheap.Would like to keep it under 150.00. Thanks

Just make a new box so you can get what sub you actually want. The box should be made for the sub not the other way around. I think you will be much happier with making a box based on a sub you buy then to buy a sub for that box.

Yeah, thats the problem.I'm using a stealth box so I don't lose my t-top storage in my hatch. I could do a dual setup in the back, but I would lose my storage space for them.

This is what I would do considering im in the same boat as you (space problem),

measure out the space you have, get a custom box built, and stick it in the back. When you need space, take out your enclosure and set it inside your house or whatever.

When you dont need the space, stick the enclosure back in.

I have a single 10" sub in my 2door jeep wrangler and its nice but its just not enough bass. Ive tried to figure out all possible ways to fit more subs in, and the simplest is just to take the box out when i need space...
