When I hook it up and try it out in a few alignments, I'll let You guys know what I think.

BTW, thats a Clarion, RE Re8, and the CDT. I'm testing on a new project.

The Clarion would look good for midbass (without the RE logo) ... don't know if it'll play that low / do well enough for that, though.

Are the Beals gonna be included in testing? They would match up great with a good pair of tweets and a pair of 10s.

EDIT: Hell they would even blend well with the other 8's you have there.

the beals were not originally slated for it, but I'd been debating - so They'll prolly catch a ride as well

This isnt really going to be SPL testing. Well, not in the way of dBDrag or anything. Basically I'm checking out which ones I like best in a few different enclosures... I'll be using a pair in-car & a pair in HT/Home Audio (3 or 4way).

The "runner's up" will see some experimentation time though, down the road. Rear horns, tapered transmissions & voight pipes. prolly a few bandpass tries.

At this time, the RL-i, CDT, Clarion, and another 1 or 2 models will be tested for dBDrag build (within the next month)... but who I run with in this respect depends alot more on the manufacturers / dealer right now.
