Posted July 13, 200520 yr im getting ready to build a sealed for for an 87 trans am, for 2 soundsplitter rl-p 12's. i think i'm going to have to use the entire well to get over 1 cubic foot per speaker, but i'm not sure exactly what im going to be working with, and this will be my first custom box. any tips, hints, blueprints, pictures, any kind of help anyone with a third generation f-body can give me? any thoughts on ideal air specs for running about 700 watts to each sub? i want to use 2 separate chambers right? thanks, Shaun

Your probly looking at 2.4 total. so 1.2 per sub, wich is plenty for the RL-P-Justin

July 14, 200520 yr Author so it makes no difference in the sound, other than taking up a bit of airspace for the separating piece?
July 14, 200520 yr Actually... having common chamber will slightly reduce transients But.. to the ear.. no different
July 14, 200520 yr Read the last part of this little article, might be able to explain it well for you.http://www.speakerbuilding.com/content/1011/page_2.php
July 14, 200520 yr Oh like he will hear that.Thats like inverting the cone.....its less cone area. The VC isnt part of the SD now is it.
July 14, 200520 yr But.. to the ear.. no differentAlso... having a common chamber will eliminate the need for each side of the enclosure to be exactly the same airspace.
