Posted March 28, 201015 yr I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 4.7L engine. I am going to be installing a rather large system, and I am having no luck finding a go replacement alt. I will do either a new replacement or if i can find a shop in the Houston area i dont mind upgrading my current alternator. Any help would be great

March 28, 201015 yr I wouldn't recommend having your alt. re wound due to the fact you will end up spending more money in the long run. Plus your amperage at idle will be worthless. Check into DC power, they will help ya outdcpowerinc.com
