I did a search but didn't find what I was looking for.2005 Ram 1500 Quad CabMy truck is all set-up with highs, deck, EQ, Kicker ZX.1000 amp (~1150W @ 2ohms). Looking to run a 12" BL Dual 1Ohm. I listen to mostly rap and hard rock, looking for a good box for the daily driver, I'd say mostly rap, real deep lows but I'd still like to hear the kick drums. I've never built a custom box before; I'm looking at 2.0 ft3 slot ported box @ 32hz. Will this limit the sub from reaching its full potential? The amp puts out real good clean power, I'd like the best possible box for my truck. Are there any pre-built boxes that will work well with this sub? I'm coming from 2) 12" Kicker L7s @ 750rms each in a big slot ported box, they banged good but based on videos and reviews, the BL should hold its own if set-up properly in the correct enclosure.Thanks in advance.
April 1, 201015 yr That box should be good. Expect the BL to not be as loud as the two L7s. It's hard to overcome that extra cone area, not to mention the box for the L7s was probably tuned higher than 32 hz, thus giving it an efficiency advantage.Prebuilt boxes to those specs are hard to find, most of the time the prebuilt boxes are tuned to 38-45 hz.

What would you recommend ?I'd recommend that you not ask like that. Post a real link and description of said box as it may still be a pile of turd.
April 1, 201015 yr Author Good call. I'm not exactly mechanically inclined so I'd rather leave the box build to the professionals. These are the 2 mentioned above.
