Posted July 26, 200520 yr I am currently getting all the peices together on my new setup. I will be running 3 12" Memphis pr's in a ported box. I believe the box is tuned in the low 30's. Stock alternator, and a ed Nine.1, giving each around 400 watts a peice. it's going into an extended cab truck.... anyone have a guess at around how loud this setup is going to be? i'm just curious at what you guys think.
July 26, 200520 yr Playing guessing games is just that. No sense in it really. Built it, get it metered, then be prepared to perfect it.
July 26, 200520 yr Author yea, i guess so, i was just wondering if ne one heard a setup close to that or something and if they did just how loud it really was u know...
July 27, 200520 yr i did a ranger x-cab with three pr12's in a 34hz tuned box off an mtx 1500d...each sub getting about 300-400 wrms (rated)..though kevin as yet to get it metered, i'll say this..it's loud as hell...lol....i'd wager it'll do a low 140 legal, maybe a mid 140 outlaw, but like mentioned above, it's just a guess.....wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
July 27, 200520 yr Author hahahah that's what i'm talkin about! that install looks sweet man, and u said u did that? awesomen yea, that's what i'm hopin for, cause i heard one pr 12" and that thing slammed in a ported box, so i figured if i'ma go, i'ma go big you know... well i'm glad to know that I made a good choice in subs cause i'm mainly goin for spl in my setup... i've got a pair of comp. vr 8"s i'm gunna put in the back for some midbass, so it's gunna sound good at the same time.... but thanks for the input man, I appreciate it.quick question -- did he have to upgrade his electrical system? (new alt./battery)?
July 28, 200520 yr as stated...it differs from app to app...the box size and design can have a big effect on total output
