Posted April 28, 201015 yr Just wondering what you guys think the best programs for simulatiing frequency response, SPL, and similar things, especially for in car or in room calculations. I have WINisd now, alpha and beta, but they both yield problems on my computer for some reason and I can't seem to figure it out. The programs seem pretty easy to use, maybe I just haven't explored these enough. What do you use, does it cost anything, ease of use, knowledge required, different features....
April 28, 201015 yr No program is going to give accurate in-room or in-car simulations because the response is going to depend on the particular environment. If you really wanted, you could try to map out the response of your car or room so that you would have an idea how the simulated response would be affected by your particular environment. For the most part, I use Unibox. It's basically just a formatted Excel spreadsheet, so the user interface leaves some to be desired and the units are metric.....but it's fairly intuitively easy to use still and is supposed to be pretty accurate.
