If I wanted to run say.. 3k at 1ohm would a 170amp alt and a yellow top in the back be sufficient? With the stock battery up front and the big 3 done obviously.

probably not...might wanna add another batt in the back but try it and keep ur eyes on the voltage gauge.

You may want another battery or so, but give it a shot to see how much voltage drop you have if any with said set up.

Just what I needed to hear!

Would you guys say a btl 15 with a kicker2500 will hit harder than a ssd 15 with a kicker 750?

lol

In theory, yes, but it it all depends on the install.

Ummmmm YEA! But again it will be install dependant!

3.5 cubes 34hz in a trunk.

I am excited.. I don't expect my hearing to be with me anymore by the time I'm 25.

:woot:

25?? A bit optimistic there. :fing34:

It's the higher frequencies that have a tendency to hurt your hearing more than lower. But excessive pressure will not be so good!

I am leaning more towards a sundown 2000 now..

Won't really notice the extra 1000 that much.

2000 (true) watts rms will be enough to run a btl and to be really loud. With the money saved, you can work on a serious enclosure!!

Lots of people use 3500 watts for their btl, but it must be for comps, or they know what they're doing with the gain knob.

Like they told you, put the yellow top under the hood and watch your voltage. Then you will know if you need another battery, or more.

Do it step by step to see the effects of each upgrade. You will just buy what you need.
