Posted May 4, 201015 yr If I wanted to run say.. 3k at 1ohm would a 170amp alt and a yellow top in the back be sufficient? With the stock battery up front and the big 3 done obviously.
May 4, 201015 yr probably not...might wanna add another batt in the back but try it and keep ur eyes on the voltage gauge.

With the money saved, you can work on a serious enclosure!!Lots of people use 3500 watts for their btl, but it must be for comps, or they know what they're doing with the gain knob.Like they told you, put the yellow top under the hood and watch your voltage. Then you will know if you need another battery, or more.Do it step by step to see the effects of each upgrade. You will just buy what you need.
