Posted May 16, 201015 yr team ia,Can you recommend enclosure size and tuning so my warden 12" will have the flattest response so i can listen to wide varity of music from rap, rnb to techno, trance and house.
May 16, 201015 yr Also has alot to do with the woofer. For some reason, I doubt the Warden is a real good choice for a flat response system.
May 16, 201015 yr SPL woofers generally have a peaky response. Thats why they are so popular they get louder, but are not the most musical.
May 16, 201015 yr I am curious to see how it would sound. Someone post the t/s and I will work up the enclosure.

May 16, 201015 yr The suspension is hella tight with a VAS of 11.97 liters, so the enclosure would be tiny for a flat responce. Here is what I came up with using algebric equations, and term pro was close as well.enclosure would need to be: 8.12 liters or .28 cubic feettuning : 53 hertzF3 would be around 56 hertz

May 17, 201015 yr I never use a box calculator first, only use term pro to verify my equations. The equations used are ones by Don Keele. derived from T/S parameters to create the optimal flat esponce ported enclosure using the air compliance and resonate frequency of the subwoofer. They are pretty well known equations.VB=(15)(Vas)(Qts^2.87)F3=.26(Fs)/(Qts^1.4)Fb=.42(Fs)/(Qts^.9)Lv=(((1.463)(10^7)(r^2))/((Fb^2)vbin)))-1.463rgolden ratio=(2d)(3d)(5d)
May 17, 201015 yr Right the issue is the application. It just ain't gonna happenI second that.I use TermPro as well and have always had a pleasing result. But, some subwoofers just are not mechanically engineered to produce a flat response on the graph.(I hate the phase but,) It is what it is...and it's not really a SQ subwoofer IMO.
