Posted May 19, 201015 yr This is a picture of my neighbors trunk, the car is a 1990 impala i have a smiler car and i was thinking about a setup something like this just with four or six 15's or four ported 12 if i can.. what do you guys think???
May 19, 201015 yr i would love to know how he's powering all those. i had two of them as my first install. oh i remember the ol' days
May 19, 201015 yr it's called overly F'in stupid.I've seen this car on youtube before i believe.. if it's the same car he claims nobody is louder than he is, lolI bet thorshammer is louder than he is with just 2 10s in the trunk.I never see him get his car metered so i look at it and roll my eyes.Cone area doesn't mean anything when u got small ass motors, choked air space, massive cancelation problems ALL on a single amp..
May 19, 201015 yr ha that's what i was thinking Shizzz, i was afraid he might have been a serious competitor and then i would look like a fool.

May 19, 201015 yr well what do you want out of your setup? what are you max dimensions to work with? are they championship series or championship pro series?
May 19, 201015 yr if it's in a trunk, u can't efficiently port 4 12s... it just won't happen.for ported-Many trunks like the following when trying to get loud at the driver seat-sub back, port back(port on far passenger side)sub back\forward, port to the passenger side. Those are 2 typical efficient firing orders.if u fire forward, everything, it will only be efficient if the baffle is flush with the trunk opening and sealed all around.I'm assuming you're goin for loud as hell so hope that helps. You NEVER want to squeeze equipment into a tight space, but rather use the volume effectively so your design is more efficient
May 19, 201015 yr Author the four ported idea i was thinking subs back port up or three really good sealed 15's in a sealed wedge enclosurethe dimensions are W49X H13.5 X D32 Edited May 19, 201015 yr by LsChevy
