Ok so the other day I got a trojan from not looking at porn using IE. Piece of shit took me hours to get off my laptop. Kept saying everything I opened was infected and wanted me to download free spyware remover. Well I got it removed and downloaded the Firefox browser.

All that for this............

Is there a simple to use add on that will remember my passwords. Typing them each time I log on is pretty much sucking. I tried a few add on's, but they are not working for me. I need something simple.

Any help would greatly appreciated.

um.. i use firefox and it fills in my password after i choose my screenname on every forum and every other site i go to.

there should be a little bar across the top of the screen every time you type a PW in asking if you want to remember it... some places like your bank page wont remember it even if you hit yet. but for this or facebook i hit yes and never have to type it back in.

it saves it for my bank and other financial accounts too... I guess i'm just special, lol.

eh' i would prefer that it doesn't, maybe i hit "dont remember"

Um, Well for some reason it's not doing that for me or I would not have asked smart ass. lol

I check remember me and nothing pops up. When I exit and open it back up it does not remember anything. I have remember passwords checked in options too.

I do have it set to never remember browsing history upon exit, but I had IE set up that way too and it remembered my passwords.

I just got the same trojan. Peice of shit wont let me do very much. How did you remove it?

Okay, I just changed some of the settings and it popped up at the top to remember.

So that's that.

Any add on you guys suggest?

So far I have only added AdBlock Plus.

Thanks!

Down load Malware Bytes. I had to load it to disk on another PC and install it that way.

Start up your computer and hit F8 before you see the windows logo and enter safe mode. Run Malware bytes in safe mode then restart.

i like new tab king and personas. dont really need much to please me :)

when u go to tools then click options then the security tab. there should be a passwords section there and i have the remember passwords box checked. if that dont work some how there should be something about auto-fill or sum shit like that auto sumthing. or if all else fails google it

didnt mean to sound like a dick by telling u each step to opening options in case u already knew how

I I had to drill down into the tools options use custom setting for history. Then select to remember passwords. I guess it was just because i had it selected to never remember history.

I get the pop up now and life is back to normal. lol

if yu dont want firefox to remember your passwords etc.. just delete cache!!!

DownloadHelper is pretty useful. Forecastfox to see the weather in the tab. TinEye Reverse Image Search is cool too.

And if you are using Yahoo mail and like to know ASAP when you get an important email - Yahoo! Mail Notifier.

Not sure if you mean the same thing, but its under tools > options > security and then theres an option that says use a master password. What I use and works quite well.

TinEye is really cool. Personas allows you to customize the look a little bit more.

Here are some guides to tweaking it to make run a bit better.

Odd, nothing happened for me.

Just google firefox tips and tweaks and there should be plenty of stuff.
