Hi guys

I am trying to figure out what is the best sub for around $200 that I can get.

Here are my criteria:

15"

1000 rms

More for SPL than SQ

~$200

I would prefer 1ohm stable but doesn't really matter....

My amp is a AQ1200D-rated at 870rms @ 2ohms and 1200rms @1ohm....

So far I am leaning towards the Alpine Type-R 15", many people have positive reviews about it...

What other subs could I look at?

thanks in advance!

Fi SSD fully loaded would be a great choice.

Thanks, I knew about Fi but never even thought to check out the SSD series....

Sounds like I found my sub, now just to debate on which options to get... flatwind coil or bp power, or both :puzzled:

I would recommend both options!

Also the Lethal Injection series from Incriminator Audio is a great performer as well.

Sundown SA-15 when they are ready will be another choice!

The IA and Sundown are 600 watt rms drivers, but that is a very conservative rating if set up correctly. Also friendlier on the wallet!

I have an older Dual 2 ohm 15" SSA Icon (late '07 model) that would be perfect for ya. I haven't metered it but it's enough to cause very hard breathing to everybody that's sat in it thus far.
