Would just one layer of damplifier on my trunk lid be enough to stop the annoying rattle that you hear outside of the car? I can't imagine that it would help much for inside the car, im just tryin to stop the outside rattle of my trunk.

    No need to cover the whole trunk!

    Test to find the most obvious spots and dampen those to start!
