Posted September 13, 201015 yr Hey,this is what i got:1x pioneer sub ts-w3002d4 @2ohms=1000rmsQCA3500D amp; 2ohm=1750watts rmsenclosure: 20"x16"x13" port size: 2"x11.5" everything on my car is stock and i think my amp is putting out a little less than what is ratedperformance wise, i dont think that my sub is performing like it should, my excursion is nothing compared to what I see on you tube and im not sure if it is because of my enclosure.I know that I can get better power if i upgrade wiring but I think I should be getting more out of what I already have.I want to try a different box, does anyone have any suggestions on sizez andI dont know much about tuning but im not getting high end bass nor very low end bassIm looking to make a box that will maximize the performance of my sub while on a strict budget, at least until i can upgrade my power supply for two of these subsi believe the largest recommended box size is 1cubic ft. but I'm seeing larger boxes with better excursions with less power.Any on with some opinions or insight please respond. Thanks in advance
September 13, 201015 yr Welcome !Your box seems really small, but I don't know what do this sub need !You'd better look at the specs on the Pioneer website.Your amp is powerful enough for the sub (more than 1000 w rms )
September 13, 201015 yr Welcome .... More port area with a tuning around 35HZ should get you where you want.Is the box a pre-fab or something you built or had built?
September 13, 201015 yr Author I bought the box from someone, and didn't bother to ask about the specs, I just wanted something that I could use for one sub instead of two.the specs from pioneer is 1cubic foot. Do you think shoud get a bigger box WITH bigger port size or just increase the port size. When you say tuning to 35Hz are you talking about the frequency of my amp or the box itself?

What are the risks of using a box thats twice as big? ported
