Posted November 2, 201014 yr I tuned it by ear, but it took a little extra time due to the gain knob being maxed out and still not pushing it's full potential out, so I turned up the bass knob slightly to a point where I saw stress. Now, the sub gets slightly warm after 15 minutes of full tilt, but it's not more then a few degrees higher off the ambient temperature.Just wanting to make sure there's nothing bad going on.Doing the big 3 in days coming, thanks.

November 2, 201014 yr I tune my amps by ear a prob with that, I think as long as you dont hear distortion at full volume and your not clipping your amp with to much gain your good

November 2, 201014 yr The SSF is tuned to 25hz since my box is at 29and the LPF is set at 60hzSounds good lpf could be set a little higher, but if you have midbass drivers picking up the rest after 60 then I'd say it's good where it's at.
November 2, 201014 yr Author Haha yeah, I don't like my subs playing over 60 hz Can't do too much to his 4Runner at the moment, cause he might sell it and get a Jeep..
