I tuned it by ear, but it took a little extra time due to the gain knob being maxed out and still not pushing it's full potential out, so I turned up the bass knob slightly to a point where I saw stress.

Now, the sub gets slightly warm after 15 minutes of full tilt, but it's not more then a few degrees higher off the ambient temperature.

Just wanting to make sure there's nothing bad going on.

Did you tune the ssf, and lpf by ear as well? lol

I tune my amps by ear a prob with that, I think as long as you dont hear distortion at full volume and your not clipping your amp with to much gain your good :)

There's more to tuning then setting the gain.

The SSF is tuned to 25hz since my box is at 29

and the LPF is set at 60hz

Sounds good :fing34: lpf could be set a little higher, but if you have midbass drivers picking up the rest after 60 then I'd say it's good where it's at.

Can't do too much to his 4Runner at the moment, cause he might sell it and get a Jeep..

I used to run my amp at 1 ohm and it never seemed to get hot and it sounded great

Hmhmhmhmhmh o-o

I know it's stupid cause it's a 2 ohm amp
