November 16, 201014 yr Its all in the install. You fuck that up, you lose. His stuff sucks, but a shitty speaker in a great install beats a great speaker in a shitty install EVERYDAY.
November 16, 201014 yr You need a great box for such great equipment. If you do everything right, I can't see how your friend is gonna be louder than you !!!congratulations for your choices !
November 16, 201014 yr Author Thanks I hope the setup is going to be loud an clean !! I've had many stereos but always bought kicker l7s and stuff like that so hoping that this one will outdo all my others
November 17, 201014 yr I had the older BTL 18 on an AQ 2200d in my trunk and it caused my passengers displeasure. It sounded great though IMO, sounded way cleaner then my friends 2 memphis 10's pr's.But this really doesn't help you that much.

This doesn't help either, but do you ever feel like telling them to get out and walk or is it just me.
November 17, 201014 yr Author Crown what electrical did u have and how did the amp do how high was the gain roughly ?
November 17, 201014 yr Crown what electrical did u have and how did the amp do how high was the gain roughly ?Setting gain varies from setup to another. Not all headunits have the some pre-out voltage, nor does everyone have the same max volume, otherwise there wouldn't be a gain.ex: I could have the gain on my amp maxed out yet never clip the signal but because I only turn my volume knob on my headunit to 5. But you on the otherhand, could have your gain in 12' position and volume at 25 and clip the signal. It all depends on your headunit AND how you set everything.
