if an amp is fuses with 2 20amp fuses.. what is the most the amp can put out power wise?

i cant find a place that has amp output by fuse rating listed....

Thanks

2 x 20 amps = 40 amps

40 amps x 12volts = 480

That'll get you a ballpark figure. I think there is a percentage you can extract from that figure to get a closer answer. I "really" need to get back to studying, I am forgetting quite a few things lately.

Depends on the type of fuse and the efficiency of the amplifier ...

I'd expect output around 400 watts ... though it could be as high as 1000 watts if it's a very high efficiency class D with slow blow fuses ...

one of my buddies said with a fuse rating of 40 amps, i could expect anwhere between 500-800 watts depending on class and all that good stuff...

the amp is a Digital Audio DAB1404 which is rated at 840 x 1 @ 2ohms 600 x 1 @ 4ohms... and fused at 2 x 20amps, that should be close to right... its an a/b class amp.. monoblock...

anyways...

A/B amp doing 840mono @2ohms with 40 amps of fusing???!!!  HIGHLY doubt it.

just reading ratings

*CORRECTION* 2 x 25amp... so 50 amp total...

Still not A/B...or your gains are pretty much off or have minimal dynamics in what you are listening to.
