December 1, 201014 yr Author Think about this, what are your amplifier settings? My amp is turn up 3/4 I didn't mess with anything else cause I jus did it real fast I figured bein up 3/4 would be plenty
December 1, 201014 yr you may need to turn up the gain till 75% or turn up the setting for Bass by your Head Unit

December 1, 201014 yr Y u smacking ur headProbably at the math intelligence of the person who told you to turn the gain to 75%, and yours is at 3/4 already. But just by saying turning your gain up is terrible advice because that can lead to clipping and other problems if your not careful. What's your low pass and subsonic at?To be quite honest, my head unit does that with CD's but when i hook my Ipod up, the volume becomes normal. But, my head unit is stock.Try different forms to play your music. CD, AUX, USB...etc
December 4, 201014 yr how did you set your gain? 3/4 is pretty damn high IMODon't know much about his head unit but from just an educated guess it's 2v pre-out which means he has to set it higher than he would with a 4v pre-out.

December 6, 201014 yr how did you set your gain? 3/4 is pretty damn high IMOThe gain is meant to match the voltage of RCA's. There is NO average setting.
