December 24, 201014 yr Whats the specs of this box? It does not look like a t-line enclosure at all to me. It looks like you just put together a box and called it a t-line. How does it sound? I personally do not know how to design a proper t-line enclosure so just want to hear some of your explanation on it.

December 24, 201014 yr Author Not a t-line. Normal ported box would destroy it.i knew you would be in here sometime to say its not, im just saying it resemelbs something simliar sir.

December 24, 201014 yr Not a t-line. Normal ported box would destroy it.i knew you would be in here sometime to say its not, im just saying it resemelbs something simliar sir.Actually I am really curious where the misinformation on T-lines comes from on the internet and how you could "design" a t-line that looked like that. I looked to see what I could find that was misleading people and didn't find it, yet it happens a lot. That is why I asked who/how it was designed first. Curious as to what you think your tuning is, why you didn't line the enclosure, how you calculated the area, how you calculated the length, and so on.There is no such thing as resembles. It either is or isn't. Sort of like taking a sealed box made for two woofers, removing one of the woofers and saying the box now resembles a ported enclosure (since it has a hole in it).I know perhaps I am perceived as aggressive on the forums but my actual purpose here is to truly understand why there are people who think T-line's are good for cars and how they think they are designing them. A reference for where they learned what they think they know would be interesting to me as well. So, that being said. How did you come about this box design?

How did you come about this box design?you prove your point, and yes you do come off as aggressive but you are only trying to help educate people on why and how they build things right? and here is the link that i got my information from. for what it is it does what i want it to with lots of port. http://www.*****.com/board/topic/1828-quarter-wave-t-line-tutorial-updated/

December 24, 201014 yr M5 is totally right... T-lines shouldnt even be folded once, let alone multiple times. Also you need a tapered cross section with respect to the woofer cone area.If you have a quarter wave, thats one thing, a t-line is the most difficult enclosure to design and fabricate, almost impossible in cars even with 8s. Either way if it sounds good then enjoy it
