I have built 2 boxes for these things and both have sounded like trash. I know they require about .6 cubes but I have yet to find the port area that is needed. I used winisd for both boxes and I have an insainamount of port noise the last box has a port 3.25x8.5x39 and I think the port length is to long already and I didn't have enough room for a larger port due to it getting longer. What size box and port should I go with?

i use 14-16 sq in / cube and i dont get much noise.

i have one box thats 1 cube and 12 inches of port and dont get much noise either.

maybe your box is leaking?

I know it's not leaking I am beginning to wonder if it is actually the location it is a console box in my Yukon in-between the middle row seats but I don't think that would cause the port noise. I am about to say forget the console box because the 10 I had built a box for did the same thing.

Port down firing? Near ground or against side of seat?

Do you have 45's in the corners of the port? That's just a small thing that could help a bit.

Figured out what the problem is, i put the box in the cargo area and then it started pounding with no port noise. I guess I was getting some cancelation in-between the seats
