i have a sae 1200d v.2 sundown amp going to a fi bl 10.

For the fuse I think you should get a 120 -150amp fuse.

like just map out where you will run the wire?

That should work, but i recommend buying a lil more than you need just for running into unforeseen obstacles, Example: having to run wire on opposite side of the battery in the engine bay etc. Better to have more than not enough.
