Posted March 28, 201114 yr both of these look like great subs, both are listed as SQ subs. the biggest difference I can see is power handling. both cost about the same, so that is not a big issue. I will have a memphis audio 1100.1 (1100W x1 @ 1ohm) my guess is that the flatlyne will be a little over worked with that power level. but from a pure SQ aspect, which is better?open to everyones thoughts.
March 28, 201114 yr Flatlyne is a more sq sub then the dr iv never heard any one say the dr is a sq I thought it was a spl
March 28, 201114 yr I was running 2 flaytlines on a saz1500 and was amazed at the SQ ,But also was able to hit Low 140s on term lab. The were a pair of 12" Dual iohm coils.
March 28, 201114 yr Author straight off of IAs site. The DR is geared as much toward SQ as it is SPL, so this would be considered by many to be the ultimate """SQL""" woofer.you might be thinking death penealty
