i had a post earlier about this when i planned on making my sub box. however...

i made the box bigger to 5 CuFt now and im curious if i could still be ok with (3) 4" aero ports instead of ordering up one more?

Are you using psp-inc ports? If so 3 would be perfect,I think 4 would be too much port.

Three will be fine. Required port area is based on the air displacement potential of the system. If you can make the sub physically max out in a 3.5ft^3 box and a 5ft^3 box, there's no need for more port area with the larger box.

Too much ?

I've recently tested a 10" aero on a box with a single 12...it's perfect !

for a 15" i prefer 4 4" but thats just me

So you'd run 29" long aeros in a 4ft^3 box tuned to 33hz?

Rarely does anyone have too much port.
