I've asked this a few other places and have not gotten much help at all. One day I'll learn. :suicide-santa:

Anyway, I drive a small SUV. I absolutely love my Dcon, but the box just takes up too much space. I do plan on trying it sealed, hopefully in the next few weeks, but I kind of want to try something else this summer, just to play around.

My budget will be around $200 or less. I've been looking at running three 8's, a single 10" or 12", or a pair of small box 10's. Not having much luck with the last one, except for the Fi X, but a pair would be a little over my budget. I currently have an RF Prime 500.1, but I'm not opposed to getting a new amp in the future (I'd like to keep the total power under 1000 watts).

I'm looking at staying right around 1 cube. All setups would most likely be sealed. The only thing that makes me hesitant about the 8's is that they won't play low enough.

Some examples of what I've been looking at:

Single 12" LI

Single SA10 or SA12

Three Boston 8's

Three Infinity 8's

Two Sundown E8's

Maybe two Fi X's

I know I'm probably forgetting some info. I'm not looking to compete; I listen to a wide variety of genres.

Buy a pair of the TC2+ Orphan 8"s that are being offered by Soundsplinter today! sale ends midnight tonight, I'm thinking about ordering one myself

What are you trying to achieve? To be as loud or louder than what you have now but take up less space? Under seat space (I doubt it)?

At least as loud as I am now, but would like louder (who doesn't :fing34: ). No space under the rear seat. There is a little in the spare tire well, but it looks like it would be a pretty big pain to even squeeze a pair of 8's in there. I had the measurements not that long ago. I'll see if I can find them. Here's a pic of the space:

If the styrofoam supports can be removed without cutting/destroying them, that might be an option to gain a little space. I'll have to do some looking at it.

I dont' plan on doing anything until this summer. For the box size though, the Soundsplinters are very interesting.

Can you load up more pictures of the inside of the vehicle?

I'll find/take some more later tonight.

I've checked out the Q and the Solo-classic. My first REAL sub was an original Solobaric and I loved it. I'll probably end up spending more. This budget is just what I'm planning on with what I know I'll approximately get for my birthday (yeah, I'm 31 and still get money from my Grandma :lol2: ). I still need to upgrade my front stage, though. Stock speakers; blah.

2 Fi X 10's no doubt sealed. I put mine in my civic same amp sealed box instead of ported and love how it sounds may even be a little louder sealed than ported. Hard to tell though. I wish i would have gone sealed from the start.

Thanks. For the money I'm thinking this would probably be the best way to go.
