Nick I would appreciated any feedbacks from you or the others. I have a 99 Accord with a cup holder that pulls down from the middle of the back seat and creates a tiny rectangular opening through the trunk. Is it advisable to face my D2s directly through this hole from the trunk through the little hole in the rear seats? They are charging me 500 for this type of install (fiberglass). Let me know if this is advisable. All I want is a tight and punchy bass.

i plan on doing this as well through the arm rest, or an IB setup. So id liek some feedback as well.

If they are fiberglassing the opening for you and placing the sub recessed in your opening, then yes, go with it. If the company is simply facing your subwoofer forward, forget it. Trunk installed subwoofers that are faced towards the front of the vehicle sound horrible. Please elaborate on the installation and we will be glad to help you out.

I doubt that he will fiberglass the rectangular hole. He mentioned something about a bandpass type box, but either way the sub will be facing the front. Based on your suggestion, it might be better to just put it in a regular sealed box.

A bandpass enclosure needs to be calculated just right for a Magnum 12. If it isn't a fiberglass install I suggest facing the subwoofer toward the rear of your vehicle...especially if it is in a trunk.

what do u mean by this?

Well it's rather hard to explain, but the sub would end up running IB now that I think about it if they were to fiberglass the opening and place the Magnum there. ...although I guess you could port it if you did some really tricky stuff.
