Well im looking to get a new HU since the cda-9813 i bought in the classifieds section doesnt play cds. ive been looking at the cda-105 but would like to get some of yalls input. would like to stay below 250

yea, i wasnt sure really. ipod hook up,built in equalizer to run an active front stage if i wanted i guess. ive been using a alpine 9827 forever so i just want to upgrade

I'm a newbie if you don't mind my suggestion. But the Kenwood Excelon series have all those features and then some. You can get the KDC-X794. It has front and rear usb, 5 band eq, high and low pass filters with adjustable slopes, bluetooth, 4v preouts, also headunit let's adjust the speaker distances from your listening position. Alot features that Alpine charges alot more for. Crutchfield has it for $220 with free shipping. You may find it cheaper on Ebay. I have the 994 and I love. I came close to buying a Alpine CDA-117 but it was $350 and they wanted another $100 for bluetooth. I hope I was some help in your decision.

yes, thanks for your input. i havnt looked a lot at kenwoods. i had one in the first truck i bought, but it was later stolen out of my truck before i got a lot of use out of it. i will check them out. Thanks!!!
