Posted April 25, 201114 yr whats the normal temperature that a subwoofer have after playing some songslike for a pair of 10" AA Chaos, powered by a Rockford Fosgate t1500-1BD Wired at 1ohm
April 25, 201114 yr 92.4 degrees? Touch the dustcap / cone, if it's very warm, I'd pull the drivers out and inspect coils, lower gain some.I pounded on my BL all day long, big enclosure, used a saz1500d, dustcap was barely warm.
April 25, 201114 yr Author well, they are warm, not too hot, and also i live in south texas, well it gets like 95 degrees during the day, is it still unnormal??

I live in Tucson and it gets just as hot As long as you don't smell any coil, see any smoke, hear any clipping distortion, and cone and dustcap aren't hot, you should be fine.
April 26, 201114 yr When you are working the subs the dust cap will get warm. Not a big deal as that is how the air flows for the cooling in speakers.
