Ok, so I am trying to decide between a couple of options here. I have a Hifonics BRZ2400.1D amp but do not know how to properly upgrade my electrical for that amount of power. Ideally, I would do the least amount of upgrades as possible since these set ups can get pricey lol any help with that would be amazing! Also, I will either be using Fi Q 15's or Fi BL 12's (both dual 1's). I am leaning towards getting a Scion tC, but I am unsure if a 7.0 cuft box will fit in the cargo space without folding the seats down and if two Fi Q 15's or two FI BL 12's would be an overkill setup in the tC. I will not be upgrading the component speakers anytime soon so would I still be able to hear the words in the tC? The other vehicle options would be a Scion xB or even a Honda Accord sedan or civic coupe. I listen to like 85% rap and the rest rock and reggae and even some dubstep occasionally. I have been looking around online to find owner's opinions on the SQ of the BL and the output of the Q. My old set up was two RE SX 12's powered by a Hifonics BXi1610D on a stock 100A alt and nothing else. The goal is to be louder with equal or better SQ. I will also need to find a nice ported enclosure for these pups. For the cars, idk what will fit in what trunk so idk whether to do sub up port back or sub back port back. HELP!!

biggest ported design u can get back there is just a hair over 5cuft.

If u insist on 7cuft, get an xb

I would have chose that over my tC but at the time i bought my car, the newest xb's engine was only 101hp and i knew that was gonna be a problem with my high 150db installs to carry the weight around.

If you wanted anyone to read your post, it would be Shizzzon. He's done lots of testing with his tC ;)

I vote for a WRX hatch

Those are sick, but may be out of budget :ughdunno:

Make a bunch more power too, and probably handle better.

with al due respect i also vote a WRX lol

i pull up on kids all the time in tcs, idk why people think they are fast...

however a guy has 4 15s in his tc. drmatic wall ofcourse.

i def think you are better off with 12's or a single 18" tho buddy.

i can only fit a box in there about 5.2 cubes big MAX

So, pretty much, xB would be the way to go for two 15's? I am not really going for horsepower, got a lead foot anyways haha but can anyone guide me on a decision about which of the two subs would fit my needs best? Bc knowing what setup I want will also help me decide which car i get. I have heard that the Q doesnt have enough output for a basshead but has nothing short of amazing SQ and drops reeeaal low. How about the higher notes? If I choose the 15" Q's, will they supply around the same or more output as the 12" BL's? And the BL I have heard it has amazing output still sounding ok. I guess, all in all, the real question would be will two 15"Q's "bump" as hard as 12" BL's and will I sacrifice a lot on the higher notes with the 15's? With the xB, I will be doing sub up port back with either setup. And how about electrical? I have never installed my own so I have no clue what upgrades will be enough :-/

Please build/choose your audio system around your car. Not the other way around.

Nonsense :P

I bought a station wagon just so I could use the cargo area for a large sub enclosure.

And I get better mpg then previous vehicle.

But yeah don't buy a school bus or a limo just so you can have bass. :attempt:

Ok, so for the xB, which of those builds would be optimal? I'm trying to ask the right questions here

i dont know the internals of the xb...

If u REALLY interested...

Go grab a tape measure and drive to a toyota dealership.

Tell the salesman u like the xB and plan on buyin it but u need to measure the cargo area for your own project work.

Come back and tell us the dimensions.. or u should know urself by then.

*Did that with the tC*
