    Bottom line is that for car audio purposes, the only reason strand count matter is for flexibility reasons, and not current carrying capability or resistance values.

    technically most of the time the more strands the better because the closer to solid u can get along with flexibility, but again...overall cross sectional area + metal used dictates quality
