You're still rockin the ZCONs? for now.. until my recones come in for the nightshades, but if what im hearing is true, the evils are less peaky, so it may be an option in the future, as that is one of my issues now.
January 29, 201312 yr Author the SSA Zcons took me to victory in the texas bass battles finalsand a few videos but im really happy about this one. and i got a bail out on tape!! Edited January 29, 201312 yr by bigjon
February 12, 201312 yr Author so sunday i planed to take out the Zcons as i thought i messed one up at bass battles texas finals... so i pulled the amp to pull the box.. and when i pulled the box i noticed the side of the amp was lose!,.. infact 4 of the 6 screws were gone..... no good. so i pulled my box, .. pulled the subs.. and while inspecting the Zcons. i found no issues....... i removed the box 100% from the car to find the missing screws... and once i did i noticed the trunk floor is ripped and cracked from the bass. but i can fix that.. so i headed to lowes to get some supplies to repair my floor, and to the auto parts store to get some loctite, ill fix this !!! so i thought. as i went to put the screws back in.. i thought to my self... take off the back cover and check for any other issues that vibration may have caused... and then all hell broke lose.... all my RCA jacks were broken off the board, and just sitting on top of the board making contact only untill the bass moved them causing my bass to come in and out an bottom out and such.... damn i was sad.... so now im fucked.. i MUST get my amp off the box.. its not an option now.. so . 1 fix amp...... sent it off to DB-r today. 2 fix floor 3 move batteries 4 re wire everything 5 relocate amp 6 build amp rack i have to say...the Zcons are fucking boss... they took abuse like no other sub i have used i ran them hard as shit at .35 ohms on an NS-1 dirty dirty... the coils look fine i never blew one. no signs of harm, they got hot as expected i just want to say it again.... THESE ZCONS ARE FUCKING CHAMPS..... if i had room for a bigger box i would keep them... but i dont.

February 12, 201312 yr sux about your amp...but good job on the floor lol jk....mark viii's have a double idler setup on them i just had to change them both. or find measurements on what you need and im sure i could help you. i work in a machine shop i can hook it up
February 13, 201312 yr Damm i didnt know about the amp getting messed up. Thats crazy! My amp is under the seat and it vibrates really bad.. No other place to put itthough Im concirned now
