Hey there. I have a 1998 Jeep Wrangler Sahara edition and i have absolutely no bass in my car. I'm leaning towards a downfiring sealed enclosure with two 10" Alpine Type R 1023D. They peak at 1800watts and 600watts RMS. The sealed enclosure provides them with 0.85 cubic feet of air space per sub. What amplifier can really make these subs sound crisp, clean, and provide deep full bass? Hifonics? Kicker? JL audio? Any thoughts on the amp or the set up in general would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

How bout a Alpine recommemded Alpine Amp ???

Just a "matching thing" for me suggestion ...

If you want bass...

Sorry, I know that doesn't help :P

I would ignore the peak rating and focus more on the rms. Just about any amp from jl, kicker, mtx, alpine, etc would be fine. I've never messed with Hifonics so I don't know :ughdunno:

When looking at the amps power rating, make sure your looking at the rms and not peak. And yes having more power leads to more output, but it doesn't mean you need a lot of power to get decent bass.

In a perfect world, you need at least twice the power to gain 3dBs. A proper ported enclosure usually yields more output then a sealed one.

More enclosure volume, more output, better efficiency, lower power handling, but if it's too big then you may lose some sq.

LOL. I second what Stefan said or even a sundown SAX-1200 wouldn't be a bad choice.

I didn't know you had so many different systems in your jeep lol. Sorry to get off topic OP

I would get the Alpine PDX series amp, from a trusted seller on ebay.

Very user friendly, small, and powerful.

The PDX M12 seems to be a perfect match.
