okay well today, im mounting my fuse holders ect... and my question is when do i actully put my fuses in??? like do i start my car then place my 300 amp fuses (4) for my batterys(1 d3400 under the hood,2 d3100 in the trunk) and 200 amp fuses(2) for my aq3500d1 on my amp? or before i start my car i place my fuses in???

idk if that makes sense please answer anyone

batteries are ALWAYS live...

Put in fuses before you start the car.

Also.. install fuses last before starting car...meaning leave fuses out but go ahead and ground everything.

That way, the circuit will complete in the fuse holder.

IF there is any arcing from a grounding power wire, it's best that it be in the fuse holder rather than at the battery itself.

1.) so wire everything up, amp batterys ect, then before i start the car up i install all my fuses.

2.)and is there anyway to aviod arcing? i mean it happens all the time when i remove the ground of my battery to remove my headunit or anything that will have to remove it i always see a spark... any soultion and im assuming that what arcing is right? that spark when i touch the wire and complete the circuit

Yes, that is arcing.

1.Install your fuses last but before you start your vehicle.

2.I usually tap what ever wire to the post first to get that first spark out of the way, then you should be good after that...

Listen to Shizzon he has got you on the right path.

As long as the fuses are in before you start playing your music then your good! :peepwall:
