I am going to be making my rear seat fold down on my silverado. I got the idea off this link

Has anyone done this yet?? How are you finishing off the back wall??

I wouldn't cut those.

I raised my seat a few years ago and have access in my 09 crewcab. Both my amps are bolted to the seat back.

cant give out all my secrets.

There is an old build log around here somewhere with a step by step how I did it.

You are fine cutting those. The seat will still stay "locked" in the upright position. The tabs are only as long as they are to keep the back from falling forward when you go to lift the seat up.

I used "C" channel to raise my seat up 2" and also 1 1/2" forward. Still locks in. Everything is mounted to my back wall.

www.carstereo.com/smgreen20 < shows how I did it.

I figured out the easy way is to add height with washers then I am having a bracket machined out.

What do I do with these cab vents?? They are in the way of my soundproofing and amp rack??
