This is just an example of what it takes to get everything installed to an over-efficient benefit-

Imagine that X4 for the bass amps alone...

Don't worry, areas that are close to arcing (which did while installing), their terminals are viced at a high angle to prevent laying on the wrong blocks and will be permanently anchored away from ground when finished.

Epicness can not be obtained by, nor awarded to, those whom dwell within the stuffy confines of just plain awesomeness......

Thus why we should encourage Sean to continue even further, so he may someday obtain the epicness he so desires.

I've been getting steady updates ;) The epicness shall be achieved! The man is driven & determined to make his goals & vision become a reality :)

You didn't say where, :) every install just about can do a 160 somewhere.

Sealed on the dash!

On music! :)

Build looks great. No matter how long it takes ;) Look forward to progress and pics!

getting there!

any reason you used electrical tape over shrink tube? Not trying to be picky. I'm sure you researched where the adhesive is obtained and at what temperature it is produced in the reactor. Wasn't sure if there was a particular reason other than that is what you had.

U really think these terminals will get hot?

Burps are 2 sec... so no heat there.

Daily and demos @2ohms which would be max of about

200a.... that's about 100a per terminal...PEAK.

Average should be around 60-75a per terminal.

I think that's fine ;)

I'm not talking about heat from current. I'm talking about ambient heat. It gets pretty warm in the cabin, especially under a window. Plus the repeated heat cycles and break down the adhesive.

Not saying it won't be fine. Just asking.

oh.. well to give u an example, i am reusing a bunch of my wire for this build from years ago of previous builds.. Some wire has had E-tape on it for years and those wires, only the tips of them had the tape coming loose but only because dirt got under it and lost it's adhesive.

I doubt i'll have problems with it.

that thermal insulation does make a difference. wish you could just stick your hand down there and feel the difference.

The battery bank that has 5 of 12 batts inside is complete!

All wiring has been ran in and out of this area!

I will now begin preparing and installing 2 BC5500ds and 1 of 2 front stage amps in this compartment!

RCA Cables are being ordered this weekend for all 6 amps.

Also, on behalf of SPL-Lab, I am going to be testing a new bracket system for both SPL-Lab and Termlab meters to prevent these sensors from falling off windshields (unless the windshield literally blows out and loses surface contact)!

Over the years, we have personally witnessed meters falling off due to age and warping windshields under pressure.

We want the customer to be able to consistently measure pressure in their vehicle even if they can consistently do 180s.

We want judges to be able to use meters for YEARS without worrying about this simple failure.

We want judges and competitors to be able to do their averaging runs whether it be 30 sec or 5 min straight without the meter falling off.

This has been left to the US side to determine the solution and hopefully within 2-4 weeks, we will show it off.

It will be a simple design yet extremely strong.... very strong, hehe.
