Someone said aim for 20inches of port area per foot earlier, so I'm sitting here for like an hour trying to design a box that would meet all of my requirements and i couldn't get it to add up right. lolI think I'm going shoot for 8-9 cubes at 34 hzGiven the displacement capabilities of the SX, I recommend a total of 115 square inches of port area minimum, if you want to tune at 34 Hz.Notice, internal area isn't mentioned, because it isn't needed when figuring port area, it is only needed when determining efficiency, maximum power, and tuning of the enclosure.
September 11, 201114 yr WOW what program did you use to build this? I am trying to find a good program to design a box, and this is like perfect for what I was looking for so that when I design it I can see how it will turn out! but I cant find anything good online...

October 17, 201113 yr Author Still working on her! Got the engine all fixed up, just need to put my car on a frame straightening machine. (If that's what they even call them) Frame is a little bent in the front, and it caused everything to shift over a little bit...Straighten the frame, get a new front end and fender...throw some paint on, and she'll be good as new. Once it's all finished you can expect to see me finish building the box.
October 17, 201113 yr there car is massss more f'd than urs haha. i have a '95 ranger on 35's so its a fairly big one and i rear ended a kia doing 35. my truck dont look any different after one night of fixing the grille and bumber after the accident. her kia was totaled. thats the BIG difference in american cars, and imported cars. ford FTMFW Edited October 17, 201113 yr by Lantz

October 17, 201113 yr crumbles ftw.although i remember my toyota pick up.. thing was a block of steel. i would back in to the concrete poles at circuit city as a park assist. i took chunks out.. bumper never even had a scratch. had to roll it to do damage..anyways, get it straight, and build this box! haha.second one.
