Hey all.Im wanting to buy these 6.5" speakers http://www.woofersetc.com/p-5574-m6-cdt-audio-65-240-watt-mid-basssub-bass-drivers.aspx .My question is I have Brand X components and I was just wanting to replace the 6.5" speakers with the CDT ones and use the brand x crossovers and tweeters and I wasn't sure if I could do this or not.Should I do that or should I just get new components?Im wanting a little more bass so thats why I was going to get the CDT ones. Thanks and let me know.

Generally no, this is not a good idea. Passive crossovers are typically designed to work best with one particular speaker, or the speaker you are looking to use may need something different than that particular passive crossover offers. Generally you can expect results to be less than optimal by using a different speaker on a passive crossover that was not specifically designed for that speaker.

What type of "bass" were you looking for out of these 6.5" speakers?
