The smartest way to build that in my opinion would be to leave the inside hollow and have a bearing type design on each side where it'll spin, run the speaker wire in through the bearing type piece and it wont get caught up.

It could be an axle type design but the speaker wire would wrap around the axle, so it could be a single sided set-up like the single sided swing arm on a ducati in which the speaker wire would run opposite of the entrance of the axle like set-up.

I'm guessing something like this would work:

The black and red would be metal rings. As the pod rotates from 0 to 360 degrees, the circuit is never broken.

we have seen a few builds like this over the years.
