If you do decide to cut out part of the rear deck, you could have the port fire up instead of back. Then fire through the rear deck, just build a beauty panel to make it clean.

You could use an aero port and it would be relatively easy, but that starts adding up if your on a budget.

^^^A huge box cuts off a lot of air flow. Might hurt your score a little.

The same guy has 5 alpine 12's in the same style box, hits 146db and does hair tricks

Lol, I have quite possibly one of the worst metering cars out there and do a 144 with 2 12s on 1kw clamped. I also saw an impala with I think 6 type r 12s crammed into a impala trunk and only did a 144. Impalas meter well... The trick to a trunk is keeping the air flow nice and open.

OP: Sub forward/port back (vice versa whatever) only works for CRXs... That is not a good design for daily. A big thing with trunks now if you can fold down your seats is subs pointing into the cabin, port firing to the side.

My friend has an 02 Impala with 2 Atomic APX 12"s on 1,200w doing a 144 from 33Hz-55Hz with stock electrical.

Fire sub up port side or back. If you do anything else it sucks, it's on you.

Who designed the box?

I am designing the box with the help of Altons box calculator (It actually does all the work). I think that will be my best option with the sub facing up, That way i can try the port in any direction with just rotating the box. Thanks guys i hope this works out!

Are your rear speakers in the back deck? If so, I'd have to aeros that you can seal up around and fire through the speaker holes. Trust me when I saw this, when the BTL gets some power, you won't even notice your back speakers playing so might as well just take them out. And are yo usure you can't fold your seats down? I saw a guy with a setup in an Impala and he could fold his seats down.. you have an Impala right?

Yes im sure i cant fold my seats down, iv already thought about firing through aero ports through the rear deck, but i dont really have the most knowledge and such quite yet. Ill keep it simple with my first box. I might switch it up later on. We will see.
