Depends what you're looking for and what models you're comparing ...

For example I have the CDA-9855 that I bought two months ago. I could probably get the CDA-9857 for a few bucks more would it be worth it?

From what I see, there's no eq on the '06 models and they have 2V preouts.

boy I talked to an Alpine rep for about 2hr's about the new Alpine stuff. Its simply amazing what their high end stuff does.

Care to explain? I hope you're not talking about their F1 line as that is obviously out of money people's budgets.

Some of their new navigation is actually affordable. I have no idea where to start on what i was told. We mostly just talked about the F1 products and navigation/multimedia and the high end decks. Just truly amazing some of the new features on their stuff.

That's cool and all but the more and more I read about their new line(not the F1) they all have less features.

Has alpine made a good ?H/U since they stopped porudtion of the 7995? No internal amp 4V output X 3 I anyone knows a better deck for a reasonable price, let me know, but the 7995 is they cleanest H/U I have ever heard.

I think they went down hill from there.
