Okay so I am new to this.

I am going to be building this in the near future and the hard part is that it's for a regular cab short box s-10 pickup. I do not know if i should go with a "blowout or just put a topor on the truck and put the sub in the back under that.

My plan is to run a 2 F.I B.T.L 15" To a Audio Que 3500 H.D Running 1 ohm Power @ 18V** @ 10% THD 7500W x 1. I am trying to find a descent sub box to make up for this.

And i have a couple ?'s Like i said i am new to this so am i going to need to push some more power to these beast's or is this going to be enough i mean i want something that is going to wake you up not put you to sleep.

Am i going to have to do a blowout or am i going to have to cut back and only go with one Sub?

If anyone could help it would be nice. If you have any ?'s to ask me just ask i can try to answer i am not the best though like i said a million time's i am new to this. :ughdunno:

1st things 1st, :WELCOME: to SSA! Now, onto your query. Are you talking about just putting the subs in the bed and having a tonneau cover over them? If so, I would recommend the blowthrough. Why are you wanting to run an 18volt setup? Will this be a competition vehicle? In order to run the amount of power you are interested in, you will be needing some electrical upgrades. That amount of power is really unnecessary too, unless you are wanting to compete seriously. What are your true goals for this system? How big is the budget? Will you be doing all/most of the work yourself or will you be paying a shop to do the work? A stereo system of the magnitude you're describing will definitely be several thousand dollars (not implying that you can't afford it or anything). Share a little more info about what you want out of this thing and maybe we can get some ideas going.

My goal is to get a mix of both a vehicle that's both competition and sound quality that's why i going with a B.T.L. And the budget really is and isn't a factor i mean i want to keep it under a minimum.

I want to buy 3 batteries if not more!

run a 300 amp alternator if not more! And a pretty big fuse to the beast!

I plan to run 0 gauge wire through out the whole truck.

I also plan to do a lot to this truck so budget really isn't a question but it still kind of is! I want it to be cheap but no so cheap i am going to be beat by anything and everything. Like i said earlier i want something that is going to be heard no put to shame easily.

I plan to do a majority of all the work myself.

My brother-in-law has a shop that i can build the whole thing in no problems/questions asked. And the blowout is what i am worried about my brother-in-law can weld but can we do it good enough to support something of this magnitude. :ughdunno::puzzled:

I still plan on putting a tonneau cover over the truck for the main reason i have to have some were to hide all the batteries and amp!

And the reason i am asking about a box is because i have no spare time to draw up a box i'm always working or doing other things for extra cash! So i have absolutely no spare time.

Anymore ?'s i guess just feel free to ask. Still new to this so still learning.
