Posted November 26, 201113 yr lol its actually quite comical.. its about 12:30pm and im walking to my garage for a workout (i have a separate garage from my house) and i walk past my car (1996 honda civic) and theres a guy trying to pick the lock on my trunk. i looked at him and screamed "HEYY WHAT ARE YOU DOING" he jumps up and dropped the screwdriver (which is mineee) and stares at me shocked and says "is this car not for sale?" i gave him the shitiest stare ever and said "NOO?" it was like a 3 second pause and he just starts running off. fast little fucker too lol. i didnt bother calling the police because shit like this happens in my neighborhood all the time, and i have no idea who he was.. but this was a sign that i need an alarm system in my car, fast. any ideas, suggestions, comments?
November 26, 201113 yr I hate people that have to steal... Glad you caught him! I've thought about an alarm myself, so I'm interested in what everybody says.

November 26, 201113 yr Isnt this like the third thread where someone was trying to steal something of yours. I think its time to move..
November 26, 201113 yr What would a relay on your battery do for you if your car is bring broken into?Get an alarm, be sure to wire your trunk lid into it as well.

November 26, 201113 yr Compustar is simply the best alarm system i've ever used... Not to mention Drone mobile compatible units make it so that you can control your alarm system from your droid/iphone as well.
November 26, 201113 yr Author are $$100-150 alarm systems good enough? should i get a $200 alarm system? i mean i believe in you get what you paid for but $100 is good money..
November 26, 201113 yr Directed also makes good alarm products if I remember correctly... and as long as they are installed properly, an alarm is better than no alarm. It just depends on how much you value your stuff.
November 26, 201113 yr I will say this, if someone wants your stuff bad enough, they will get it alarm or not.
November 26, 201113 yr Author i do plan on having some nice stuff.. is viper overrated? some friends tell me my money is better elsewhere and some friends say they work great.. i think today im buying an alarm system.. i was going to get my car tinted but i can cancel that for now lol

November 26, 201113 yr I would buy that compustar, 1 mile range and an LCD key fob... Just ask them to do hard wired connections instead of t-taps (or just ask them if they use t-taps)I've seen countless alarm/starts fail b/c of t-tap connections, they aren't built to handle any decent current before melting.

Other than that my "random" alarms were just my father or friends screwing with me.
