hey guys my friend has a cda-9855 that has a big green wire what does that do becouse it was cut when he got it will it work with out that wire thanks

    Doesn't the deck have a wiring pinout on the top of it telling you what each wire does?

    I'm not familar with a big green wire for Alpines, the only green wires I know are for the high-level (speaker) outputs from the internal amp. If you're not using the internal amp, I can't think of a green wire that's there :)

    Unless your talking about the cable for the dc to dc converter ( kinda greenish blue) . are ya ? :)

    There are no old threads on SSA :)

    If the DC/DC converter is missing, I doubt the unit will turn on :)
