Posted January 31, 201213 yr so,... i have a allis chalmers 5030, that we use on our ranch in elgin texas, this winter i wanted to spruce it up a bit, and it needed a ignition switch, and now that im back to my old self, im working on it,, here is a list of things ill be checking off.... figured i would post here because its one of my aspects of life, and who knows maybe yall have tractors too!ignition switch CHECKoilfilters, PTO. oil filter fuel filter air filter power wash sand downrepair rust.. tricky.primerpaint, change exhaust routing install voltage meter install work lights lube and grease restore tool to work!!BEFORE PICS
February 1, 201213 yr A tractor is a must, that's a handy size to have too, you can do a lot with a 30 horse. I think those were Japanese but I could be mistaken.

I think those were Japanese but I could be mistaken.did you just call my tractor Japanese!!!?? how dare you!!! lol.. nope Chalmers was first made in Milwaukee in the 1840s then moved to Wisconsin, all American my friend!! but your right alot of tractors now days are made in china or japan ... infact we just bought a kabota with the front loader and a back hoe with the grapple , 4x4 pretty nice .hope to move right along with this project!
