So i have an orion 300w amp model t475. it is plenty amazing! except the bass boost button just distorts but every other option is good and it seams under rated. But a while back i put it in my friends car and forgot about it. so it was pushing 1 15 and 2 6x9s and she said it just stopped...she had her friend put in an old american legacy amp that was 400w with all of the gain and hz controls ripped apart from the board........ :suicide-santa: so this 300w amp was given to me and now its back in my hand. i got home and hooked up a computer 12v supply to it and the power supplys breaker flips whenever i try to start the amp. i had just tested the american legacy amp on the same supply a few minutes earlier

Sorry for such a long post but what im getting at is, is this orion amp fried or can i save it? :ughdunno:

    open it up and look for burnt spots or blown capacitors

    What impedance was it wired to?

    4ohm single VC bridged on rear channels. its a 4channel amp
