Posted February 13, 201213 yr So I found a place that's less than an hour away with a meter.So any tips/ tricks?What sweeps/tones should I take? Never been metered before so this will be an exciting experiance for me.
February 13, 201213 yr Test tones in the bass region, but if your looking to find the loudest, you can play a sweep at low volume, then do a burp at whatever frequency registered the highest.I'd definitely have tones from 30hz to 50hz.Playing with the windows and door open/closed will help. I know for me, I was a bit louder with the opposing window open to where the mic was. IE: mic at driver headrest, and passenger window down. Edited February 13, 201213 yr by stefanhinote

February 14, 201213 yr Only number that counts is sealed up on the dash. Run a sweep then burp the loudest frequency.There are lots of tricks to gain tenths. Play with the seats, sun visors, open empty center console, open the glove box. ORYou could do like I do and just roll up play your favorite songs and do nothing with all the above. lol
