Posted February 24, 201213 yr Wasup SSA! Sold my HFI300D's & bought a Cresendo BC5500D & I need to know what all equipment (Electrical) will I need to run 6300+ rms all day everyday? What would be best between the XS Power D3100 & the Kinetik HC2400? How many batteries should I get, & what size & how many H/O alternators? I will be running amp @ .67ohms.Thanks SSA! February 24, 201213 yr I have a bc5500 atm. Running a 320 amp dc alt, 3 d3100's and a blue top up front. Ordered a d3400 and waiting to replace the blue top with that. And I have barely any voltage drop

February 24, 201213 yr Author Throw a nice HO alt in with a couple big batts and see where you are at.Ok whats better between the XS D3100 or Kinetik HC2400

Might go down to 13.2 or so on heavy, and I mean heavy bass. As for how much the amps putting out? I don't know, hasn't been clamped by me but I'll guess anywhere from 5500-6k
February 24, 201213 yr Buy the alt.See how bad the voltage drop is.Throw a battery in.See how bad the voltage drop is.Throw another battery in.etc.liljestrand pretty much told you exactly what you were asking for.
February 24, 201213 yr No one else is going to HELP! Help ya Bro out SSAyour question has been answered. What the fuck else do you want people to say. My answer is if you have to ask, you probably don't nred that much power. Do a little research, see what others are running with equal power.

Those should do good. Edited February 24, 201213 yr by Randy.D
February 24, 201213 yr Buy the alt.See how bad the voltage drop is.Throw a battery in.See how bad the voltage drop is.Throw another battery in.etc.liljestrand pretty much told you exactly what you were asking for.ummmm....No unless you want to see some smoke! OP get at least 3 batteries in the rear along with your front battery. You may or may not need an HO alt depending on your vehicle. Also, get yourself a good 15a external charger to maintain your batteries

February 24, 201213 yr There's nothing wrong with adjusting the gain, seeing the voltage start to drop below your desired point, and back it off. Order batteries, and repeat the process.I assume the OP isn't stupid, and doesn't leave it at low voltage for any long period of time. Edited February 24, 201213 yr by stefanhinote
February 24, 201213 yr When making an investment like this you should never skimp on the electrical IMO. For 5k daily you need AT LEAST 3 batteries and maybe an alternator. But I would get the batteries first as they are the main reserve. And like I said get yourself a good charger. Alternators are not ment to be used as battery chargers. No one sad the OP was stupid. But it would be dumb to buy the amp and not have proper electrical to start. I don't think people realize it costs just as much in electrical as it does for the amp. So your $900 amp is really going to cast $1800 when your all said and done, maybe more.
February 24, 201213 yr I don't believe in telling the OP to buy a bunch of shit he may not need, just to cover all the bases.Yes he will need to upgrade his electrical supply to properly power the amp, and keep it from burning up, but since I don't know exactly how many batteries he needs, I'd rather offer the advice of checking the voltage with the HO alt and battery, then start adding one battery at a time until the voltage is sufficient.Instead of simply saying go buy xxx amount of batteries.

N no I'm not dumb I know when to back off when voltage drops too low. I want to have a steady voltage of atleast 14.8v all day, and I think 4 Kinetik HC2400's, 350amp H/O alt (Or Bigger), Big III (All 0guage) and a Kinetik HC 1400 or KHC2000 (Under hood) should just do that or better. I will be running amp @ .67ohms all day.

February 24, 201213 yr Stefan's suggestion is a good one, I would take his advice.Testing has shown the XS Power D3100 to be a bit more powerful than the Shuriken BT-120 and KHC2400. I think 4 BT-120s would perform at least as well as a trio of D3100s.
February 24, 201213 yr Also check out the xs xp3000's, xs's new batteries geared more towards daily ground pounders.
