Im having trouble opening my passive crossovers so I can mount them...I've tried just to lift the top half off with no luck, there doesn't appear to be anything securing the 2 halves together as far as I can see(like a screw or bolt). I've checked the manual and it doesn't explain how to do it and I have even tried e-mailing JBL with no response. Maybe someone else has these components and could help me out. Heres a pic:

Probably doesn't help much but I thought I'd post it anyway.

How do other passive crossovers open up?

Where are the screwholes located?

You might need unscrew those 4 screws on top and just remove the plexiglass section. If that doesn't help, most of them are just held together with plastic tabs....find where the tabs are located and squeeze the sizes so they release.

On the sides you'll have to pry them open, so use a butter knife and gently pry the sides open.

I have the same ones and one crossovers tabs broke leaving me to tape it closed but there isn't a lot you can do though.

I have the same set and love them, you might want to go active or use a different set of passives though cause even though you'll get plenty of midbass punch you won't get that deep bass sound with those crossovers and once you go active or use some high quality crossovers they'll bring the bottom end alive.
